Golden Gate
The Golden Gates of Kyiv is one of the
few architectural monuments reflecting the art of fortification
in Kyivan Rus which have survived into modern times. The Golden
Gates were the main entrance into Kyiv. This unique structure
was a combination of defensive tower and church.
St. Sophia Cathedral;
St.Sophia Cathedral, the world-famous
monument of history, architecture and monumental painting. Built
in the fist half of the 11 c., during the reign of Prince
Yaroslav the Wise. Both common people and the mighty of this
world made pilgrimages to St.Sophia.

Since the late 20th c., Andriivsky
Descent has become a venue of mass pilgrimage of Kyivities and
numerous tourists. The street is crammed with souvenir shops,
art galleries, museums, theatres, cafes and restaurants, there
are a lot of street vendors who offer paintings and souvenirs to
every liking.
St. Andrew's Church soars grandly on
the slope of Starokyivskaya Hill. The terrace of the church
forms a splendid look-out point with an inimitable view of the
Podol district, the sunny Dniper's vistas and the city's new
housing projects across the river.
St. Andrew's Church was built in the
Baroque style.

Khreschatyk Street – is the main
well-known city street. Along the street a lot of trade and
entertainment establishing’s situated. In the center of the
street there are the main square – Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the

Post Office, the concert hall of the Chaikovsky National Music
